Ginny pig bladder problem please help.?

My girlfriends Ginny pig has bladder infection and it's pee is red. We are going to take it to the vet but does anyone know if giving the Ginny pig unsweetened cranberry juice diluted with water will help? It's a female and she's 4 years old.
